Environment
India has been very active in all the
international forums relating to environmental protection and has signed all
the multilateral agreements relating to the environment with a few exceptions.
In 2002, India reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development in the
World Summit on Sustainable Development at Johannesburg. India is a part of 94
major mutilated environmental agreements (MEAs) listed in Environment Treaties
and Resource indicators.
